TDRSS Scheduling
Course Number: 882 Length: 1 day 

Synopsis: 

The TDRSS Scheduling course is designed to train personnel involved in the TDRSS scheduling process on the capabilities and limitations of the TDRSS, and how to schedule spacecraft support through the DSMC. Topics to be discussed include the following: 

  • Scheduling overviews. 
  • Pre-mission planning. 
  • User/DSMC interface. 
  • Scheduling process. 
Course objectives are achieved through analysis of the capabilities and limitations of the TDRSS hardware and software, and through discussion of the TDRSS/STDN scheduling process. Each student receives a student workbook specifically designed and developed for the course; the workbook is used during the classroom presentation and as a reference. 

Prerequisites: 

    It is highly recommended that prospective students complete Course 880, TDRSS Orientation, prior to attending this course.
