You may take this self-paced course instead of attending the instructor-led TDRSS Orientation (880) course or the first day of the TDRSS Package (890) course.

The TDRSS Overview (880) Self-paced course consists of 9 lessons.  After you complete Lesson 9 you will be given instructions on how to receive credit for the course. 

What you will need
An audio capable PC running a Microsoft operating system with a PowerPoint viewer.   This course is optimized for PowerPoint 2003. Older versions ( 2000 & 97)   may have some problems with synchronization of narration and screen action.   PowerPoint 95 is not compatible with this self-paced course because it does not support audio.

Downloading
Do not select the "Run" option from the download window, select "Save".  Go ahead and download to the default location you have set up in your browser. 
The files will be executables.  When you run the downloaded executable files they will create a folder on your c: drive  called TDRSS880 and unzip the contents of each lesson within that folder.  You can re-direct the files to another drive or folder if you choose.  See the example below.

As an example: Lesson 1 will be placed on c:\TDRSS880\Lesson1\  You can redirect these files to another location by clicking the browse box (box with 3 dots ...). Because there are 9 lessons, it is normally faster to just download to the default location and then move the TDRSS_880 folder to a location of your choosing.

Each lesson will have several files along with the application file. The application file will be a PowerPoint Show file (example: 880L1.pps).  The other files are media files and they must be in the same folder level as the .pps file
